Important Information About Carpet CleaningImportant Information About Carpet Cleaning

Spots and Stains...

The standard carpet, upholstery and curtains cleaning procedures involve the removal of soil and other dirt from the fabric. Most stains and marks are removed with steam cleaning method but some spots, caused by dye, may need different treatment. Removing such spots requires a skilled operator with excellent understanding of carpet textures and chemistry of dyes. This service is more expensive, as it is charged on the base of the time spent on site and materials used for the cleaning.

Wear and Tear...

The cleaning treatments do not restore ultra-violet damaged, distorted, scratched or discoloured carpet and upholstery fabrics. More frequently used parts of carpets and upholstery and also parts exposed to sunlight are more damaged and worn out, also with a changed texture and therefore will always look slightly or more different than their surrounding area.

As the presence of soil particles causes the carpets and upholstery to wear faster and lose their appearance, a regular maintenance is advisable to protect your furnishing. Approximately every 12 to 18 mounts for residential carpet cleaning and between 12 and 24 mounts for upholstery cleaning are the recommended frequencies when you wish to keep their quality for longer instead of investing in new furnishing and carpets more often than needed.

Shrinkage...

Some carpet and upholstery textures are more prone to shrinkage than others. This is due to the fibre structure of their supporting base and the quality of the fitting. The correct cleaning treatment and a skilled operator will prevent the shrinkage, because the control of the hot water and cleaning solutions used in the process is significant.
